Our Allied Health team includes:
Registered Dietitian who works with clients to support healthy eating for a variety of dietary needs including chronic disease, heart health, food budgeting, healthy weight, growth and development of children and other dietary requirements.
Counsellors who offer counselling/psychotherapy for individuals (ages 8 and up), couples, families, and groups. Our counselors work to build upon people’s strengths in order to meet the challenges of life and problem solve the many issues that people may be facing. Appointments are available from Monday through Friday for Community Healthcaring Kitchener-Waterloo rostered clients. To request an appointment, you can call the centre or go to 2nd floor reception and complete a one-page referral form. A counselling coordinator will contact you within 3-7 days with an appointment time.
Chiropodist who specializes in the care of the foot. This service focuses on the assessment of the foot and the treatment and prevention of disease or disorders of the foot.
Community Health Workers who work with clients to support their health and wellness goals, including mental health supports, social connection and isolation, physical activity, and subsidized programming. Our Community Health Worker utilize a strength’s-based and person-centered approach to support the health and wellbeing of people by using community-based activities and support.
The Client Navigator supports those with multiple complex health needs. This coordination includes leading the development of a client-centred care plans of existing supports as well as helping clients who have trouble accessing needed resources and/or navigating systems.
